Founded in 1949, in Forfar, Scotland, Strathmore Woollen Co started as a joint venture between Don Brothers, Buist & Company of Forfar, and Ballantynes of Peebles. Over the years, we’ve evolved into one of Scotland’s leading suppliers of premium tartan fabric, known for our commitment to quality, authenticity, and exceptional service.
Over the years, we have developed a range of 400 authentic tartans made from 100% worsted wool. Our portfolio is built of Clan, Region and National tartans, accompanied by tartans that have been designed in house by our talented Tartan design team. Whether you’re looking for a classic pattern or something more unique, our collection has something for everyone.
